As 2024 comes to an end, automakers are pulling out all the stops to sell off remaining inventory with deep discounts and special offers this December. We have compiled a list of 20 popular SUVs that are available with discounts of Rs 1 lakh or more this month.

Toyota SUV discounts in December 2024
Save up to 1.6 Lakhs
Toyota’s smallest SUV, the Taisor, is offering discounts of up to Rs 1 lakh this month on models equipped with a 100-horsepower turbo-petrol engine. If you are interested in the 90 hp, 1.2-litre NA version, the discount is around Rs 65,000. The 115 hp petrol hybrid variant of Maruti Grand Vitara-based Hyryder SUV is available with a discount of up to Rs 1.60 lakh, subject to availability. The 105 hp mild hybrid and 88 hp CNG versions of the Hyryder come with smaller discounts of around Rs 75,000.
Maruti SUV discounts December 2024
Save up to Rs 2 Lakhs
The strong hybrid version of Maruti’s flagship SUV Grand Vitara, equipped with a 115 hp petrol-electric engine, is available with a discount of over Rs 1.5 lakh. The 103 hp mild hybrid and 88 hp CNG versions equipped with the 1.5-litre engine receive a smaller discount of around Rs 70,000. Maruti’s powerful off-roader Jimny is also available with discounts of up to Rs 2 lakh at most Nexa dealerships. The Jimny is powered by a 105-horsepower, 1.5-liter gasoline engine and is available with manual and automatic transmission options.
Skoda Volkswagen SUV December 2024 discounts

Volkswagen Group’s India 2.0 SUVs – Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq – are offering heavy discounts on each model. The 115bhp, 1.0-litre TSI engine version comes with a discount of over Rs 2 lakh, while the 150bhp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol variant has a smaller discount of around Rs 80,000. Some dealers are also selling older 2023 models at deeper discounts.
MG SUV discounts in December 2024

MG Motor India is offering discounts of over Rs 2 lakh on the Hector, which is available in five, six and seven-seater variants and comes with a 143hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 170hp, 2.0-litre engine. The Hector petrol variant is available with manual and CVT gearbox options, while the diesel variant is available only with manual gearbox.
MG’s ZS EV comes with a 50.3kWh battery and a range of 461 kilometers and comes with a discount of up to Rs 1.50 lakh. The Astor mid-size SUV competes with Hyundai’s Creta and is available in 110 hp and 140 hp engine options with discounts of around Rs 1.25 lakh at most dealers.
Mahindra SUV discounts December 2024
Save over 3 Lakhs
Mahindra is offering amazing discounts this month. The XUV400 EV comes with discounts of up to Rs 3 lakh and comes with 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh battery options with a range of 359 km and 456 km respectively.
The discount on the Thar 3-door Earth Edition 4WD is Rs 3.06 lakh, while the discount on the Thar 3-door petrol 2WD is around Rs 1.30 lakh. The second generation Thar is popular and comes with 152 hp petrol, 119 hp diesel and 132 hp diesel engines. Automatic transmission and 4×4 options are available on some models.
All Bolero models are also discounted: some versions of the original Bolero are priced around Rs 1.40 lakh, the Bolero Neo is around Rs 1 lakh and the Bolero Neo Plus is also close to Rs 1 lakh. They come with different diesel engines of varying horsepower.
Discounts of up to Rs 1.80 lakh are available on unsold XUV300 SUVs from 2023 onwards. The XUV300 is available with a range of petrol and diesel engines and was replaced by the XUV 3XO in April.
Jeep SUV discounts for December 2024

The Jeep Compass is available with a discount of Rs 3.20 lakh at most dealerships. This is Jeep’s smallest SUV launched in India since 2017, but sales have been slow, which is why the discounts are so generous. The Compass is powered by a 170-hp, 2.0-liter diesel engine with manual and automatic transmissions, with all-wheel drive available on some higher models.
The larger Meridian SUV is now available in 5-seater option with discounts of up to Rs 2.80 lakh this month. Whether you choose a three-row or five-passenger version, the Meridian maintains its Jeep qualities.
Tata SUV discounts in December 2024
Save over 3.5 Lakhs
Tata Motors is offering some of the best discounts this month. Tata Harrier and Safari 2023 models are getting discounts of up to Rs 3.70 lakh. Unsold 2023 shares of the popular Nexon can get discounts of up to Rs 2.70 lakh. New 2024 models also come with significant discounts based on model and available inventory.
The Harrier and Safari share a 170bhp, 2.0-litre diesel engine and come with manual and automatic gearbox options. The Nexon is available in petrol, CNG and diesel variants with different manual and automatic gearbox options to suit everyone’s needs.
