The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is available in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+, with prices starting from Rs 6.79 lakh and going up to Rs 10.14 lakh for the highest variant. These introductory prices are valid until December 31st. Maruti Suzuki also offers subscription plans starting at Rs 18,248/month covering registration, insurance, maintenance and roadside assistance for added convenience. The sedan continues to be available in petrol and CNG engine options.
On the other hand, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is priced from Rs 6.66 lakh to Rs 9.84 lakh. It is available in Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants with petrol and CNG options. All prices listed are ex-showroom.

In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new Dzire are 3,995mm, 1,735mm, and 1,525mm respectively. The wheelbase is 2,450mm and the ground clearance is 163mm.
In comparison, the Baleno hatchback is 3,990 mm in length, 1,745 mm in width and 1,500 mm in height. Additionally, it has a slightly higher ground clearance of 170 mm and a wheelbase of 2,520 mm.

Both the 2024 Dzire and Baleno offer a similar engine range, but there are some differences in terms of performance and transmission options. The compact sedan is powered by a 1.2-liter Z-series petrol engine that produces approximately 80 hp and 113 Nm of torque. The engine is available with a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed AMT. There is also a CNG version, which delivers 69 hp and 102 Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Baleno comes with a 1.2-liter petrol engine that produces 82 hp and 113 Nm of torque. However, it offers a five-speed manual gearbox and CVT as options. Like the Dzire, the hatchback also comes with a CNG option and churns out 76 hp and 98.5 Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
While the petrol and CNG engine options are the same for both the cars, the major difference lies in the gearbox options, with the Baleno offering a CVT option while the Dzire offers an AMT option.

Moving to the cabin, the new Dzire’s interior takes inspiration from the latest Swift but also gets unique updates. It features a dual-tone dashboard with wood veneer. Key highlights include a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Arkamys surround sound, 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, cruise control, electric sunroof, rear AC vents, rear armrest and Suzuki Connect. In terms of safety, the sedan comes with six airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, brake assist, three-point seat belts for all passengers, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. A rear defogger is also standard.
Baleno also comes with a wide range of features such as head-up display, cruise control, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop and keyless entry. It also comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and an Arkamys sound system with four speakers and two tweeters. In terms of safety, the hatchback comes with similar features including up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ISOFIX child seat anchors, rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, ramp assist systems and three-point safety belts worn by all occupants.
