Picanto Sport and GT-Line
The Picanto is technically cheaper than the previous-generation MG 3, although it’s currently running out of stock, with stocks only expected to last until the end of the year. Base price ranges from $20,330 to $20,836 (drive away), depending on your state or region.
The new-generation MG 3 is significantly more expensive, with base starting prices exceeding $25,000 in every state and territory.
The Picanto is classified as a microcar, which technically means it’s positioned below the likes of the MG 3, Mazda2 and Suzuki Swift, and alongside the more expensive older Fiat 500, the new battery-electric 500e and its more popular Models are juxtaposed. Abarth derivatives.
GT Line
It received a substantial facelift for 2024, bringing exterior styling inspired by the EV9.
This also brings a host of extra standard equipment, including safety kit such as blind-spot assist, lane centering and rear cross-traffic assist, as well as comfort features such as a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, although the price will naturally increase with this.
The starting price of the base model has increased by nearly $3,000, while the range-topping GT with the turbocharged engine has been axed.
