2025 Leapmoo B10: Affordable electric SUV is about to be launched

this Zero running B10 Already unveiled in Europe, the compact electric SUV will arrive in Australia in 2025.

Leapmotor joined forces with Jeep and Fiat owner Stellantis earlier this year to form a joint venture called Leappa International to help bring the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand into new markets, including Australia.

The B10 is the second model confirmed by Leapmotor for local release. The other larger C10 will be launched next month, with a starting price of less than US$50,000 before on-road costs.

Leapmotor has not revealed details about the B10, but it is expected to be cheaper than the C10, suggesting it could cost close to $40,000 when it goes on sale next year.

As the first “B Series” Leap car (not to be confused with the 2002 to 2010 Ford Falcon), it is also the brand’s first introduction to the new Leap 3.5 chassis architecture.

Details are non-existent, but Leapmotor claims it is “a highly integrated platform that provides advanced features such as ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems), customizable digital cockpit and smart driving functions.”

Unfortunately, it hasn’t detailed the electric motor powering the B10, although it’s expected to have lower performance and range than the C10.

The rear wheels of the Leapmo C10 are driven by a 160kW, 320Nm electric motor and powered by a 69.9kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, which can provide a driving range of up to 420 kilometers.

No images of the B10’s cabin have been released yet, with only its exterior design revealed at this week’s Paris Motor Show.

The B10 looks similar to the C10, but the B10’s LED headlights are thinner and have a unique graphic that runs across the rear.

More information about the Leapmoon B10 will be revealed in the near future, with local pricing and specifications expected to be revealed ahead of its Australian debut.
