2025 Skoda Scala pricing and specs

A makeover Skoda Scala The hatchback has been priced for Australia and the local range has been recalibrated.

The update is similar to that of the related Kamiq crossover, but the Scala is more of a niche car in Australia, outselling only the smaller Fabia and flagship Superb.

The lineup now features a more streamlined model, the Scala Select, which starts at $32,490, a $1,100 savings over the $33,590 sticker price of the outgoing Scala Ambition.

The Skoda Scala Monte Carlo replaces the Signature as the flagship of the range and is now priced from $43,990 before on-road costs, $1,900 more than the range-topping model it succeeds.

The range is powered by a pair of continuation engines, and the Select has smaller wheels than the Ambition it replaces, while also lacking the more advanced “virtual cockpit” digital instrument cluster, power tailgate, adaptive cruise control, and more.

However, it does add a speed limiter, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a USB-C port, and dual-zone climate control.

Skoda is hoping to boost sales of the Scala, which remains the least popular small car among Australian buyers, by upgrading the model.

As of the end of August, Skoda had delivered 262 Scalas in 2024. In comparison, Toyota delivered 17,722 Corollas, 11,217 Kia Ceratos and even 2,088 Audi A1s in the same period.
