Do you feel overwhelmed and stressed out when planning a trade show? Or maybe you’re planning your first trade show and can’t believe how much work it is?
You are not alone, I created this episode for you! Today I am sharing with you 8 tips to help exhibitors take the stress out of trade show and event planning!
1. Leverage your trade show contacts. Let your trade show contacts tell you everything you need to know so you don’t get bogged down in a sea of pages that are irrelevant to you.
2. Dedicate a period of time to completing it. These shows are complex and have countless details. If you just do a little here and there, you will constantly spend time figuring out what has been done.
3. Simplify. Don’t overdo it. If you have a lot to do and feel overwhelmed, simplify things for yourself.
4. Double-check deadlines and prioritize. Know all the important dates you need to complete your tasks and put them on your calendar. A clear plan will give you peace of mind.
5. Create a list of everything you need for an event and bring it to your next show.
6. Don’t reinvent the wheel! Unless you’re making major changes, reuse your banners, backgrounds, displays, and even marketing materials.
7. Delegate! Find out all the work that needs to be done and then assign responsibility.
8. Contact the show’s producers to schedule a call to discuss all of your submissions. Give yourself peace of mind.
Now… you can breathe!
