With the launch of Kia Syros, the company will expand its product lineup with a unique-looking product that is unlike anything India has seen before
Kia Syros is one of the most anticipated new car launches in India. This futuristic SUV has been teased by Kia India several times and is set to be unveiled on December 19, 2024. While the SUV’s dimensions and powertrains haven’t been confirmed yet, spy shots of the Syros suggest it’s overloaded with features. Let’s take a look at the standouts we can expect.
1. Futuristic design
Syros will come with a futuristic design language. It looks different from other products available on the market, which is probably its main selling point. The word “traditional” goes against Syros’ design language. Even the wheels are geometrically patterned.

2. Appearance characteristics
The Kia Syros features vertical LED headlights, high-mounted LED taillight signature, bumper-mounted brake lights, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, flush door handles, keyless entry with at least one request sensor, thick B-pillar area and overall silhouette Square.
3. Interior design
The Syros will feature a new interior design theme not found on other Kia cars in India. It has a new steering wheel with offset logos. The main central infotainment screen will get physical controls as well as a volume wheel.

4. Interior features
There will be two 10.2-inch displays standing freely on the dashboard. This time around, the infotainment screen may support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wirelessly. We can expect dual-zone climate control, wireless charging pad, auto-dimming IRVM, cooled glove box, premium Bose sound system, ambient lighting and more.

5. Passenger comfort
Due to its boxy silhouette, we expect the Kia Syros to be roomier inside than the Sonet. The high-leg design also helps increase the headroom and trunk space of the luggage. Like the Sonet, the Syros is expected to come with ventilated front seats. The driver’s seat may be power-adjustable.

6. Ventilated rear seats?
The Syros is likely to get reclining seatbacks for the second row and will come with rear window sunshades. Furthermore, the Kia Syros is likely to become the most affordable car in India with ventilated rear seats. Additionally, there is a wireless charging pad on the rear. Both features are visible on the test mules spied in South Korea.
7. Strong security
With the launch of the Kia Syros, the company is likely to implement a strong safety net with Level-2 ADAS, which is a step further than the one on the Sonet. Expected features include side and curtain airbags, three-point seat belts, load limiters and pretensioners, seat belt reminders and a strong and sound structure for improved crash ratings.

8. Premium Quotient
Although the dimensions of the Kia Syros are unclear, the car is likely to be a more premium offering than the Sonet. Elements like soft-touch plastics, improved NVH and richer appeal are likely to be part of the package.
