Australia’s 10 cheapest hybrid cars

Electric vehicles (EVs) will be all the rage in the eco-friendly car world in 2024, but hybrids no longer always get the attention they deserve.

Many modern hybrid vehicles seamlessly integrate gasoline and electricity to achieve efficiency goals without demanding the premium that electric vehicles still carry.

In fact, there are plenty of affordable hybrid vehicles that can compete directly with non-electrified rivals on price while also saving on fuel and saving money at the pump.

To prove it, here are the 10 cheapest new hybrid cars you can buy in Australia.

Hundreds of new car deals are now available through CarExpert. Get the experts on your side and get big rewards. Browse now.

We’re basing this list on hybrids with meaningful EV driving capabilities, excluding the Suzuki Swift Hybrid because it can’t drive on EV power alone.

Some manufacturers list drive-away prices, while others list prices excluding on-road costs. But for the sake of consistency, this list is ranked based on private buyer drive-in prices in Victoria.
