Featured Automatic Hunteran online auction platform operated by ClassicCars.com, is this 1970 Chevrolet Corvette. It is powered by a rebuilt, numbers-matching LS5 454ci V8 engine connected to a four-speed manual transmission. Painted in Bridgehampton Blue with a blue cloth interior, this C3 Corvette comes with the owner’s manual, original paperwork, Protect-O-Plate, service receipts, and a clear title.

In January 2024, the body was repainted in Bridgehampton Blue. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, a large hood, hidden wipers, body-colored T-tops, a power antenna, and a luggage rack. However, the rear passenger-side side badge is missing.

The curvaceous body is fitted with a set of 15-inch rally wheels and 225/70 Nexen Roadian HTX radial tires, which were installed in 2018.

Inside the cockpit, the original blue vinyl upholstery has been replaced with blue cloth. The cockpit features power steering, a Lecarra steering wheel, and a Custom Autosound AM/FM stereo with rear speakers.

Vehicle information is displayed on the main instrument cluster with a 160-mph speedometer and 7,000-rpm tachometer. The odometer reads 65,841 miles, which the seller reports is accurate. Auxiliary gauges in the center stack display coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level.

Under the front-hinged hood is a numbers-matching LS5 454ci V8 engine with a 10.25:1 compression ratio. Factory rated output is 390 horsepower at 4,800 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque at 3,400 rpm. The engine is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, the engine was rebuilt in 2017. That same year, the gaskets and water pump were replaced. In addition, a PerTronix ignition system and a Holley 850 four-barrel carburetor were installed. Earlier this year, the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and distributor were replaced, and the fluids were changed.

Four-wheel independent suspension provides handling. Disc brakes at each corner bring this Corvette to a stop. Updates completed in 2017 included replacement of the front lower control arm bushings, front stabilizer bar links, shock absorbers, brake lines and calipers.

The seller has posted a tour, start-up, and driving video below.
