In a devastating car accident near Neramangala on the Bengaluru-Tumakuru Expressway (NH-48) on Saturday morning, a container truck overturned on their Volvo car, killing people including IAST Software Solutions Managing Director Six family members, including Chandram Yegapagol, lost their lives. The impact caused the container to overturn and land directly on the Volvo SUV, completely crushing it. The six passengers in the vehicle died at the scene. The deceased have been identified as: Chandram Yegapagol (48), General Manager, IAST Software Solutions; Gourabai Yegapagol (42), his wife; Gyan Yegapagol (16), his son; Deeksha Yegapagol (12), his Daughter; Arya Yegapagol (6), his daughter; Vijayalakshmi (36), his sister-in-law.
The family was traveling from Bengaluru to their hometown, Morabaj village in Jat taluka in Sangli district of Maharashtra to celebrate Christmas. Chandram’s elderly parents, Eragonda and Jakkavva, were also on their way to the village when the incident occurred and have not yet been informed of the tragedy.
