“We’re always a little short on supply, that’s our slogan – one car less than the market needs – but never say never.
“It’s a great car and depending on how the production cycle progresses, there may be another opportunity to be one.”
As with “almost every Ferrari you order right now,” the waiting time for buyers with a build period is about 18 months.
Ferrari confirmed at the launch that Purosangue production will be capped at 3,000 units per year, but the car will not be restricted to long-term Ferrari customers like some of the rarer models.
The first Ferrari SUV is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine with 533kW of power and 716Nm of torque. The redline is 8250rpm, which is unheard of in a modern SUV.
The car starts at $728,000 before on-road costs, but once customised it’s unlikely to stray too far from $1 million.
