Citroën C3 automatic transmission models launched in 2017

Citroen has launched the automatic transmission variant of the C3 hatchback in India with prices starting at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version comes with a six-speed automatic transmission that offers smoother shifts and improved fuel efficiency. These variants retain the C3’s modern design, spacious interior and key features, making it suitable for both city and highway driving. With this update, the French carmaker aims to strengthen its position in the Indian market by attracting customers looking for a more convenient driving experience. The automatic model is expected to appeal to urban buyers looking for a practical and comfortable compact SUV.

Citroën C3 automatic: price details

Citroën India has announced the prices of the C3 automatic transmission facelift which was launched a month ago. It has updated features along with an automatic transmission. The C3 Turbo comes with a single-turbo petrol engine and is available in top-spec Shine variant priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 10.27 lakh. Customers interested in purchasing the vehicle can place reservations online or visit their nearest dealership, with deliveries expected to begin soon. In terms of pricing details, the top-spec Shine variant is available in four additional configurations: Shine priced at Rs 10 lakh, Shine Vibe Pack priced at Rs 10.12 lakh, Shine Dual Tone priced at Rs 10.15 lakh, Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack priced at Rs 10.27 . One hundred thousand. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom. The dual-tone variant features a dual-tone look, while the Vibe Pack includes additional appearance enhancements.

Citroën C3: engine options

The revamped C3 is offered with two engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. The naturally aspirated version comes with a five-speed manual gearbox, while the turbo-petrol engine is available with a six-speed manual gearbox or a new six-speed torque converter automatic transmission (AT). Notably, the turbo-petrol engine is only available in the top-spec Shine variant, with prices starting at Rs 9.30 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual version. Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the turbo-petrol engine delivers 109 hp and 190 Nm of torque, while the automatic version produces 109 hp and 205 Nm of peak torque. The NA petrol engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and produces 81 hp and 115 Nm of torque.

Citroën C3: Features

Speaking of features, the C3 now includes LED projector headlights, auto-folding exterior mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster and automatic climate control – elements that haven’t been available since the car’s 2017 launch. 2022. These new features are unique to the Shine model.

Other enhancements include grab handles for all passengers, flip-top keys, power window switches on the doors, rear AC vents, remote start/stop function, sliding front armrest and automatic climate control. There are other niceties like power windows, hill start assist, steering wheel controls and a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with AppleCarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. In addition, the safety of the Citroën C3 is supported by six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors and three-point seat belts.

Citroën C3 Automatic: Market Competitors

In terms of market competition, the Citroen C3 AT competes directly with the automatic variants of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Tata Punch.
