Bahrain will continue to host Formula 1 pre-season testing in 2025, despite the Bahrain Grand Prix being rescheduled to a later date on the calendar.
Formula 1 has decided to hold pre-season testing in Bahrain for the 2025 season. Although some fans would like to return to Barcelona, F1 chose Bahrain for its strategic advantage. The layout of the Bahrain International Circuit helps teams fine-tune their cars in conditions similar to those of the race. Bahrain’s consistently warm weather is essential for testing new components and technologies. This will be the fifth consecutive time the track has hosted pre-season testing and the sixth time it has been the exclusive venue for this crucial preparation period.

About Bahrain International Circuit
Since joining the Formula 1 calendar in 2004, Bahrain has become a leading force in the Middle East and will celebrate its 20th anniversary by hosting a Grand Prix in 2024. Next season, the Bahrain Grand Prix will be moved to April to accommodate religious observances, while the race in Saudi Arabia will be rescheduled. The change allows Australia, China and Japan to start the new season, with Suzuka forming an exciting triple-header with the Middle East event.
