Ford designs Ranger Raptor North Edition for Kris Kringle

What is the coolest car Do you own it? Maybe a Mustang Shelby GT350R or a big C2 Corvette. Whatever that car is, chances are you won’t use it as a daily driver. Kris Kringle has a one-of-a-kind vehicle that everyone knows and loves: a sleigh pulled by flying reindeer, but even he Need something for daily travel. Of course, it would be nice if he could use the car as his signature sled if need be. Ford Australia designer Kirby Masterman and several of his colleagues around the world have come up with a promising concept: the Ranger Raptor North Edition.

“The process was very intense,” Masterman said. “Fortunately, I have great support from the Australian team, the US ELF (Experimental Laboratory Foundation) team, and our Arctic Studio colleagues, and I’m delighted to have been asked to work on this project.”

One of the main goals was to give the Northern Edition the ability to fly. This led to the creation of small rocket engines. Retractable wings keep Santa steady as he hurtles through the sky at 4,705,882 km/h (2,924,099 mph). Somehow, Masterman and his colleagues found a way to make it run on candy canes. What a Christmas miracle!

Whether Kris Kringle is at work or relaxing, he can enjoy some thoughtful features. Santa Claus isn’t known for using doors, and the Northern version doesn’t need to. In fact, he couldn’t because all four doors were sealed. He could go in from the top, like a big chimney. Once Santa starts moving, he doesn’t have to worry about burning out the front end at the extreme speeds the Northern Edition is capable of, since it’s made from the same Unobtainium used in his sleigh.

But he can keep hot chocolate at the perfect temperature, which Ford calculated at 58 °C (136.4 °F), and his rig has heated cup holders (too bad there’s no cooler inside the center console to chill some chocolate). also). The artificial intelligence-equipped version of the SYNC 4A infotainment system offers list management, advanced navigation and weather monitoring for Santa’s busiest night of the year. At that time, he can pack all the gifts for more than 800 million children into infinite boxes. Once Christmas is over and Santa has some down time, he can fire up the full-width self-cleaning grill integrated into the tailgate (reindeer won’t be on the menu).

A production version of the Ford Ranger Raptor North Edition will be on Kris Kringle’s wish list for a long time, like forever. The milk and cookies your child or grandchild leaves for him should help ease the pain of having hope.

For those of you celebrating this holiday season, ClassicCars.com Magazine wishes you and your family a Merry Christmas!
