Honda driver slides on ice, lets Jesus take over

Controlling a car in icy conditions can be tricky and requires a level of skill that takes practice to perfect. An icy curve in the Briarcliff-Claymont neighborhood was too much for a Kansas City driver to handle earlier this week. Instead of remaining inside the out-of-control car, she jumped out, possibly to avoid injury from a potential collision.

A short video of the incident was shared on Facebook, showing the driver traveling on a right-hand curve. However, the Honda Accord underperformed. It was pointing in the wrong direction, the front wheels were turning to the left, and the driver apparently had no control over it. She opened the car door, jumped out, fell to the sidewalk, and watched helplessly as the dark blue Accord hurtled from the curb and down the grassy embankment.

While the video cuts off shortly after the car hits the grass, it does show the car veering left and avoiding a large street sign. If conditions had been slightly different, it might have shot right over the embankment and into the lanes of cars on the road below. Instead, it rolled along the grass and crashed into thick brush on the side of the road.

Only one photo of the aftermath of the accident has been released, so it’s difficult to say how much damage the Accord suffered. Regardless, the situation could be worse if the driverless Honda crashes into another vehicle.
