Hyundai Creta Electric to be launched on Bharat Mobility Global

Hyundai Creta Electric exterior, interior and features fully revealed

Hyundai Motor has announced that the new Creta Electric will be launched at the Bharat Mobility World Expo 2025. The carmaker has unveiled the specifications and features of the Creta EV.

Creta Electric comes with a host of features designed to enhance convenience and connectivity:

  • In-vehicle payment system: The system, first of its kind in this segment, enables users to pay for electric vehicle charging directly through the car’s infotainment screen, integrating over 1,150 charging points across India.
  • Vehicle to Load (V2L): This feature provides power inside and outside the car, perfect for camping or emergencies.
  • digital key: Users can lock, unlock and start their car using their smartphone or smartwatch.

Other features include the i-Pedal system, which allows the driver to accelerate, decelerate and stop using only the accelerator and shift-by-wire, which replaces the traditional gear lever with intuitive controls.

Performance

Creta Electric is available in two models:

  • 51.4kWh battery pack (long battery life) It offers a cruising range of 473 kilometers and a power of 171 PS.
  • 42kWh battery pack Offers a range of 390 kilometers and 135 horsepower.

The vehicle accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and supports DC fast charging, which can charge 10%-80% in 58 minutes. For home charging, the 11 kW wall box charger can fully charge in 4 hours.

Safe and comfortable

Hyundai has equipped the Creta Electric with over 75 advanced safety features, 52 of which are standard across all variants. Highlights include:

  • Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems: Advanced driver assistance system with features such as lane keeping assist, forward collision warning and smart cruise control.
  • Standard safety features include six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability control and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

The interior offers a premium experience with features such as ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control and a Bose sound system with integrated music streaming.

Connectivity

The SUV is equipped with Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car technology, which offers more than 70 features, including remote charging, automatically scheduled charging and OTA software updates. A pair of 26.03 cm (10.25 in) hyperbolic screens enhance the driving experience by providing infotainment and essential EV data.

While Hyundai has equipped the Creta Electric with an impressive list of features, its success may depend on real-world factors such as charging infrastructure expansion, pricing competitiveness and post-purchase customer experience. The introduction of advanced technologies such as in-car payment and V2L demonstrates Hyundai Motor’s intention to lead innovation in the field of electric vehicles.
