

Isuzu expands commercial pickup truck lineup in India with cab-chassis version
Isuzu has launched a new variant of its popular D-Max pickup truck in India, priced at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). The latest ‘1.7 Cab Chassis Standard’ model is designed to cater to the needs of businesses in sectors such as perishables, FMCG, food and catering, and last-mile delivery services.
Key Features and Specifications
The D-Max Cab Chassis variant allows businesses the flexibility to customize and build the cargo body as per their operational requirements. Under the hood, it comes with a 2.5-liter 4JA1 diesel engine that produces 78 BHP at 3800 RPM and 176 Nm of torque between 1500 and 2400 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Focus on safety and practicality
Isuzu has equipped the vehicle with a host of features and safety features designed to enhance user experience and reliability. These include height-adjustable seatbelts, a multi-information display with shift indicator, and a foldable steering column. In addition, underbody steel protection for the drivetrain adds a layer of durability, especially in harsh conditions.
A notable safety feature is the brake override system, which ensures that engine power is cut in the event of emergency braking, providing additional safety for the driver.
