JetBlue Announces plans to open first airport lounges in New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5 will be completed by the end of 2025. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) Soon after, Terminal C
“Customers have been asking for JetBlue lounges for years, and we can’t wait to open them in New York and Boston,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue, in a media statement. “Lounges have become a must-have for a growing number of customers seeking premium experiences, and JetBlue lounges will further enhance the value of our TrueBlue loyalty program as we expand our JetBlue credit card portfolio.”
As the airline expands its affordable premium aviation experience from the air to the ground, the lounge will offer passengers a relaxing place to relax, work and rest when it opens.
Airport lounges are increasingly popular — as anyone who’s waited to get in can attest — especially for business travelers, offering some key perks, including comfortable workspaces, refreshing food and drinks, and in some cases, showers and massage stations for those long haul trips.
Access to the lounge
The JetBlue lounges at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport total 8,000 square feet, and the lounge at Boston Logan International Airport is 11,000 square feet and are designed around three areas:
- Play: Relax and socialize as JetBlue brings a functional “fun” to the lounge experience while customers can also kick back at the full-service bar and listen to bartenders shake and stir their favorite complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Work: Private workspaces feature fast free Wi-Fi, plenty of sockets, and free barista-made coffee bar beverages to keep you connected and recharged.
- lounge: Enjoy warm and friendly service, free food and drinks. Relax alone or with a group in the lounge’s comfortable and welcoming seating areas.
Like most lounges with priority access, JetBlue’s lounge is reserved primarily for loyal customers and certain credit card holders, including holders of the new premium JetBlue credit card (details to be announced soon), TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members and Transatlantic Mint customers.
Additional eligible customers may purchase day and guest tickets, based on available space. All customers may purchase annual passes, which provide lounge access to more travelers. JetBlue will share more details about lounge access policies in the future.
