Kia is differentiating itself from similarly sized Sonet sub 4m SUVs by offering more equipment, features and technology with Syros
Kia India’s journey has been a remarkable one, starting with the Seltos. The company quickly gained a reputation in the premium SUV and MPV segments. To expand the product portfolio, we saw the reveal of the Syros SUV yesterday. It is a sub-4m SUV while offering more equipment and features than the Sonet.
It is based on an enhanced version of the K1 platform on which the modern Exter, Casper, Grand i10, Aura and Santro are based. Compared to the Sonet, the Syros promises more excitement, safety, technology and space. Let’s take a closer look at the feature breakdown and powertrain combination options of the different versions.

Kia Syros – trim, color, powertrain combinations
To start with, the Kia Syros will be available in 8 color options – Frost Blue, Glacier White Pearl, Sparkling Silver, Gravity Grey, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive and Aurora Black Pearl. It’s worth noting that top models like the HTX+ and HTX+ (O) don’t come with a manual gearbox at all.

Talking about the gearbox, the 1.0L turbo petrol engine comes with 6MT (a first for Kia) or 7-speed DCT. The 6MT option is available in HTK, HTK (O), HTK+ and HTX trims. HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and HTX+ (O) offer 7-speed DCT. The 1.5L diesel engine starts with HTK(O) trim.
