Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Centeris a convention center located in Long Beach, California. The exhibition center has a total area of 572,387 square feet (53,176 square meters) and is built on the former site of the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium; the venue includes the Long Beach Convention Center, the Long Beach Coliseum, and the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. The Long Beach Coliseum is the first building in the complex to be completed. The capacity is as follows: Hockey 11,200, Basketball 13,609, Concert 4,550, 9,200, or 13,500, depending on seating arrangements. The stadium has hosted a variety of recreational, professional, and collegiate sporting events, including the volleyball competition at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
At the trade show, the arena covers 46,000 square feet (4,300 square meters), with a 19,000-square-foot (1,800 square meter) lobby and a 29,000-square-foot (2,700 square meter) front lobby. Suspended from the 75-foot-high ceiling is a central scoreboard with four white “Super Color” animated screens. At the south end of the arena is an 11-foot-long by 15-foot-wide China-U.S. Cooperation (CECO) Smartvision LED wall.
