Mandalay Bay Casino Resort Las Vegas

The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas is the fifth largest convention center in the United States (opened in January 2003) with 1.7 million square feet of flexible meeting and exhibition space.

The Mandalay Bay is a large tropical resort-themed hotel (opened March 1999) easily recognizable by its gold-leaf windows and sprawling wings on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. There are palm trees and water views throughout the house. In the registration area is a 14-foot saltwater aquarium filled with colorful fish and two leopard sharks – a feature associated with the Shark Reef Aquarium (opened June 2000). Throughout the hotel you will find fountains, sculptures, marble and plants.

Meetings at Mandalay Bay can accommodate anywhere from 30 to 30,000 people. The advantage of the convention center is that it is clearly separated from the casino and hotel, allowing organizers to devote time and energy to the agenda. The conference center is spread over three floors and has 1.7 million square feet of flexible space. There are four huge ballrooms ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 square feet (without columns).
