Maruti Suzuki car prices to increase by 4%

Maruti Suzuki has announced that it will increase prices of Arena and Nexa models from January 1, 2025. The price increase will be capped at a maximum of 4% depending on the model; having said that, Maruti Suzuki is yet to reveal the price increase for each model. The price adjustment was due to higher operating and input costs.

Maruti Suzuki is not the only OEM (original equipment manufacturer) to slap higher price tags on its models. By January 2025, companies like Mahindra, MG Motor India, Mini India, Hyundai, Nissan, BMW India and others will increase the prices of their models. Maruti Suzuki’s current product range includes Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Wagon R, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, Swift, Fronx, Brezza, XL6, Jimny, Dzire and Ciaz. The Alto K10 is the company’s most affordable offering yet, with prices starting at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car, the eVX, is slated to debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025, while the new-generation Dzire sedan was launched nearly a month ago.
