Maruti WagonR Waltz Edition launched at Rs 5.65 lakh

Maruti Suzuki WagonR, one of the best-selling cars in India, has launched a new special edition ahead of the festive season. Called the Maruti WagonR Waltz, the limited edition model comes with several cosmetic and feature enhancements over the regular model. The model is available in three trims – LXi, VXi and ZXi – and is priced at Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Both engines use DualJet, Cooled EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), Dual VVT (Variable Valve Timing) and ISS (Idle Start Stop) technologies. These technologies not only improve fuel efficiency but also reduce carbon emissions. The maximum power of the 1.0L petrol engine is 67bhp, while the maximum power of the 1.2L engine is 90bhp.

Buyers can also opt for the CNG model. Transmissions are handled by the same 5-speed manual and AMT units. Similar to the regular model, the claimed mileage of the WagonR Limited Edition is 25.19kmpl (1.0L AMT), 24.43kmpl (1.2L AMT) and 34.05km/kg (CNG).

So, what is new or special about the Maruti WagonR Waltz edition? The limited edition gets a chrome front grille, bumper protector, garnished fog lamp assembly, wheel arch cladding, body side mouldings and side skirts. The WagonR Waltz also gets new floor mats, a 6.2-inch touchscreen music system, a reverse camera and a security system. Its standard safety kit includes dual airbags, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD and hill hold control.
