
The new Kia Syros SUV under 4 meters will be launched soon! The model will be officially unveiled on December 19, followed by a public display at the Bharat Mobile Expo in January. Pricing for the new products will likely be announced at the same event, with deliveries expected to begin in a few weeks. Before the official launch, some Kia dealers have started accepting reservations.
Wider and taller than Sonet
We now have details on the dimensions of the upcoming Kia compact SUV. According to the leaked data, the length of the Kia Syros is 3,995 mm, which is the same as the Sonet. However, it has a width of 1,800 mm and a height of 1,665 mm as compared to the Sonet’s width of 1,790 mm and height ranging from 1,610 mm to 1,642 mm. The Syros also has a longer wheelbase at 2,550 mm, while the Sonet has a wheelbase of 2,500 mm.
More luggage space and a larger cabin
Additionally, the new SUV’s luggage space is larger at 406 liters, surpassing the Sonet’s cargo capacity of 385 liters. With its wider and taller body, the Syros will provide its occupants with more cabin space and headroom. Segment priority feature
In addition to a spacious cabin, the Kia Syros will offer high-tech features including Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and a panoramic sunroof. The interior of the Syros will reflect a premium feel similar to that of the Seltos. It will feature a dual-screen setup with a 12.3-inch display, one dedicated to the infotainment system and the other used as the instrument cluster. For entertainment, the SUV will be equipped with an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Comfort features include ventilated seats in the front and second rows.

Turbo petrol and diesel power
The Kia Syros will be available with turbocharged petrol and diesel engines and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Upcoming Skoda Kylaq. The petrol version will use the familiar Sonet 1.0L turbocharged engine, producing 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. The diesel version will be powered by a 1.5-liter engine delivering 114 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic and a 7-speed DCT automatic.
