
Last September, the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora launched the Mountain View Pavilion event space, an event spearheaded by ownership group Ryman Hospitality Properties Inc. Part of a current multi-year investment plan.
Named for its picturesque views of the Rocky Mountains, the Mountain View Pavilion features 12,118 square feet of indoor event and hospitality space, more than 14,000 square feet of outdoor terraces and courtyards, and 15,000 square feet of turf lawn area. The interior space features floor-to-ceiling windows, banquet space, skylights, an exquisite indoor fireplace and west-facing mountain views.
The new venue is expected to significantly increase Gaylord Rockies Resort’s ability to host high-profile events. Considered Colorado’s largest integrated resort and conference center, the resort has hosted meetings for 5 to 10,000 attendees since opening in 2018. The Mountain View Pavilion, a departure from typical banquet and exhibit hall spaces, is expected to boost group travel to the Denver and Aurora markets. The pavilion is ideally located just minutes from Denver International Airport, providing domestic and international attendees with a convenient venue option.

The opening of the Mountain View Pavilion follows recent upgrades, including the launch of the Embers Lodge Bar last April, The Fortunate Prospector and the redesigned Grand Lodge. Upcoming improvements include the redesign of the resort’s existing Monte Jade and Vista Montagne restaurants into Garden + Grain and Copper Table. The redesigned Old Hickory Steakhouse is also scheduled to open this fall. The investment in Gaylord Rockies is part of the Gaylord Hotels brand’s long-term growth plan that will continue to improve dining, entertainment, meeting space and guestrooms at all five hotels.
