Nissan recently launched the fourth-generation X-Trail SUV in India, which was first unveiled in mid-July. The new X-Trail is a premium 7-seater SUV and since it is fully imported, its price (Rs 49.92 lakh ex-showroom) seems a bit high for many potential buyers. While the X-Trail comes in only one variant, powered by a mild-hybrid engine, the Toyota Fortuner, which competes with the X-Trail, comes in seven different configurations (4×2, 4×2 AT, 4×2 Diesel, 4×2 Diesel AT, 4×4 Diesel, 4×4 Diesel AT and GR S 4×4 Diesel AT). The latter is priced up to Rs 51.44 lakh (ex-showroom), making it more expensive than the newly launched Nissan X-Trail. However, the starting price of Rs 33.43 lakh (ex-showroom) makes the Fortuner more approachable. Now, we compare the two cars in terms of size, features and technical specifications.
