
Porsche officially launches the facelifted 911 Carrera S, bringing a series of upgrades to this iconic sports car. The 911 Carrera S is available in convertible and coupe styles, sitting between the standard Carrera and Carrera GTS. It offers more power than the base model and comes with additional features. It’s powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that delivers an impressive 473 horsepower, making it even more exciting to drive. With enhanced power output, the Carrera S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, demonstrating its outstanding performance capabilities. In addition to improved engines, the facelifted 911 Carrera S also receives subtle design modifications. The vehicle’s interior blends luxury and performance with advanced technology and refined materials. This update solidifies the 911 Carrera S’s status as one of Porsche’s most exciting models.

Porsche mentioned that the design of the new sports car is inspired by the previous 911 Turbo model, with only subtle changes visible. These include a staggered tire setup, 20/21-inch Carrera S wheels and matrix LED headlights.

The Carrera S has a 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine producing 473 hp (29.5 hp more than the outgoing model) and 530 Nm of torque, transmitted through an eight-speed PDK gearbox. With upgraded turbochargers and enhanced charge air cooling, it can reach a top speed of 308 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. Standard equipment includes a sports exhaust system with silver tailpipes and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+). Braking setup has been improved over the standard model, now borrowed from the GTS, with 408mm discs at the front and 380mm at the rear.

Other options are also available, such as Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and PASM sports suspension, which lowers the ride height by 10 mm and features rear-wheel steering. The damper hydraulics have been optimized compared to previous models.
Porsche 911 Carrera S facelift: cabin
The Carrera S’s interior comes standard with black leather upholstery, while a rear seat system is optional on the coupe and standard on the convertible. There is also the option of adding leather trim on the side panels, seat bases and glove compartment lid. The car comes with a wireless phone charger, as well as optional extras such as a front axle lift system, Track Precision app and Sport Chrono package.

Although the Carrera S has been unveiled globally, it is expected to arrive in India soon. Given the performance improvements and additional features, its price is expected to be over Rs 2 crore, while the base Carrera starts at Rs 19.8 crore.
