Royal Enfield ‘Motorcycle Art’ goes global

Royal Enfield’s popular design campaign, The Art of Motorcycle, returns for its fourth season with a global twist. For the first time, the competition will attract creative enthusiasts from outside India, with artists from Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico able to participate.

Season 4, themed around a vision of the future set in the year 3000, known as the Y3K edition, challenges participants to reimagine motorcycling in a world where humanity’s relationship with technology and freedom is evolving. Artists are invited to explore new galactic landscapes and unknown adventures, expressing their passion for two-wheeled travel to a world beyond the present.

Category and Global Judging

This year’s Art of Motorcycle Contest introduced four creative categories for entrants: General Artificial Intelligence, Digital Art, Handmade Art and Comic Art. Comic Art is a new category that celebrates the intersection of storytelling and motorcycling through comics and comic strips.

The competition will be judged by a global panel of experts and regional judges. The international judges include renowned experience designer Aaquib Wani, known for his work with Lollapalooza, the Indian cricket team, and Spotify Rap91; animated filmmaker Debjyoti Saha, founder of Goppo Animation; Japanese manga artist Haruka Santoka; and Varun Gupta, an artist known for his fusion of Gen AI and visual art in storytelling.

Regional panels will feature renowned creative talents from participating countries, including creative director Mao Gronewold from Mexico and renowned artist Takrit Krutphum from Thailand.

Rewards and Community Engagement

Entrants’ designs will be evaluated through a social survey, giving the global community the opportunity to vote for their favorite entry. The top eight designs from each region will receive a fully funded trip to Motoverse, Royal Enfield’s annual community event. Their winning design will also be featured on exclusive Art of Motorcycling apparel.

Additionally, one winner in the Comic Art category will have the opportunity to work with Royal Enfield on a special project. All winners will be featured on the Royal Enfield Ride Pure Podcast, providing them with a platform to share their stories and creative journey with a wider audience.
