Royal Enfield has successfully expanded its product portfolio with new motorcycles and the sales performance of these motorcycles will be evident soon

Royal Enfield, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of classic bicycles, had sales of 72,236 units as of November 2024. Royal Enfield’s sales in November 2024 declined month-on-month. Compared with 1,01,886 units sold in October 2024, this represents a month-on-month decrease of 29.1%. As a result, sales volume decreased by 29,650 units sequentially.

A month-on-month decline in sales after the festive season is a common trend in India. However, the 72,236 units sold in November 2024 were not enough to surpass the 75,137 units sold in November 2023 last year, resulting in a year-on-year decrease of 3.86% and a year-on-year decrease of 2,901 units.

The company’s best-selling product remains the Classic 350, with 27,514 units sold last month. This number cannot exceed the 30,264 units sold last year and the 38,297 units sold a month ago. As a result, the Classic 350 Index fell 9.09% year-on-year and 28.16% month-on-month. Classic 350 accounts for 38.09% of RE’s total sales.

With 16,193 units, the Bullet 350 is RE’s second best-selling product, accounting for 22.42% of the company’s total sales. Compared with 17,450 units in the same period last year, there was a year-on-year decrease of 7.20%; compared with 22,491 units a month ago, there was a month-on-month decrease of 28%. Bullet 350 sales decreased by 1,257 units year-on-year and 6,298 units month-on-month.

The Hunter 350 was the company’s third best-selling product last month, with 15,229 units sold. This is the first RE, a year-on-year increase of 7.43% compared to last year’s sales of 14,176 units, accounting for 21.08% of the company’s total sales. Judging from the month-on-month progress, Hunter 350 dropped by 28.67%, with sales volume decreasing by 6,121 units.

RE’s best-selling 350cc model is the Meteor 350. Last month, 7,181 units were sold, a year-on-year decrease of 10.81% and a month-on-month decrease of 35.52%, the largest decline among the 350 series. In fifth place were the 650 Twins (Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650) with 2,974 units sold. Sales increased by 40.81% year-on-year and decreased by 7.58% month-on-month.

Sibling platforms Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450 sold 1,534 and 797 units respectively last month. Himalayan fell 15.44% year-on-year and 30.24% month-on-month, while Guerrilla 450 dropped sharply 49.68% month-on-month, with sales almost halved. Himalayan and Guerrilla accounted for 2.12% and 1.10% of RE’s total sales respectively.

Super Meteor 650 has the highest month-on-month decline

Ranked eighth and ninth are the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. The two motorcycles are based on the same platform and there is a significant difference in sales compared to the 650 Twins. Sales of Super Meteor 650 decreased by more than half year-on-year and month-on-month, falling 53.94% and 55.34% respectively. Shotgun sales fell 23.92% month-on-month.
