RSNA 2024: The future of radiology and artificial intelligence innovations

CHICAGO – The annual Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Scientific Congress and Annual Meeting in Chicago, December 1-4, underscored its reputation as a global center for radiology professionals, with nearly 40,000 attendees— —Five days of education, exploration and networking among radiologists, imaging scientists and industry leaders. This year’s theme is “Building Intelligent Connections,” emphasizing radiology’s unique relationship with artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence applications are strongly represented in science projects and throughout the exhibition hall. The AI ​​Showcase is the premier place for attendees to network with more than 100 companies delivering next-generation radiology AI software and products, see first-hand the possibilities of AI in the RSNA AI Theater, and network with AI industry leaders and colleagues.

The show is held at the McCormick Place, covering an area of ​​412,600 square feet and featuring more than 722 exhibitors. In addition, 139 companies participated in RSNA for the first time.

Researchers submitted more than 860 scientific papers. There are also more than 1,700 scientific posters, more than 1,500 educational exhibits, more than 300 educational courses and seven plenary sessions.

New this year is a one-day showcase in the North Hall, with new exhibitors appearing every day. In addition, RSNA provides guided tours of technology exhibits, allowing attendees to network with industry leaders during “VIP tours of cutting-edge technology and equipment.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to create schedules and access meeting information using Meeting Central and the RSNA 2024 conferencing application.

During the conference, the RSNA Health Equity Committee organized the assembly of winter kits and donated them to the Chicago nonprofit Cradles to Crayons, so we had the opportunity to give back.

Sustainability is also a focus. “RSNA is committed to a sustainable annual meeting. For more than two decades, we have been updating processes and making changes to ensure that radiology’s most important week is environmentally aware and socially responsible,” said Jaworski.
