Stakeholder perspectives and exhibition support

Thailand’s food and beverage (F&B) industry is a vital part of its economy, driven by various stakeholders including manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, policymakers and consumers. The industry thrives on innovation, quality and sustainability. For these stakeholders, exhibitions play a key role in supporting business growth, driving collaboration and promoting progress across the industry.

From the perspective of manufacturers and suppliers, Thailand has great potential as a production hub. Supportive policies introduced by the government under the “8 Lights Thailand” strategy have incentivized investments in advanced food processing technologies, sustainability and value-added foods.

These policies are in line with global market trends, making Thailand competitive in both regional and international markets. For example, THAIFEX-Anuga Asia was a key exhibition for 1,935 trade delegation buyers and international hosted buyers. Notably, 88 hosted buyers participated in 1,570 business meetings with exhibitors, with an estimated total order value of US$2.624 billion.

Retailers and consumers benefit from exhibitions to learn about emerging trends and new products to meet changing demands. At the same time, policymakers use these events to enhance Thailand’s global food and beverage positioning, resulting in a 95% satisfaction rate among exhibitors at THAIFEX-Anuga Asia, ensuring the country continues to maintain its leading position in Southeast Asia’s thriving food and beverage ecosystem.
