The Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis received a one-click rating for the first time, with Michelin describing it as "a very special stay." This five-star hotel is the only one in the state to have been awarded a Michelin key. Brazil’s Transpetro awarded shipbuilding contract
Transpetro, the transport and logistics arm of state-owned oil giant Petrobras, has issued a tender to Brazilian companies Ecovix and Mac Laren in a major move for Brazil's shipbuilding industry. FTC says CarShield reviews were misleading, settles lawsuit for $10 million August 26, 2024 — The U.S. government settled a lawsuit for $10 million after accusing the auto warranty company CarShield of using fake reviews and ads to sell its car protection plans. According to the Federal Trade Commission's lawsuit against CarShield, CarShield and American Auto Shield used misleading reviews and celebrity endorsements to sell auto service contracts. In advertisements and telemarketing for these auto warranty service contracts, CarShield promised consumers “peace of mind” and “protection” and claimed that “you won’t be stuck with high repair bills again” and “you’ll never pay for expensive auto repairs again.” CarShield, based in Missouri, advertises warranty service contracts administered by Lakewood, Colorado-based American Auto Shield. CarShield sells its plans through telemarketers who answer incoming calls and make outbound calls in response to consumers, including those who make inquiries through the website. The lawsuit alleges that 2011-2016 Chevrolet Silverado and 2011-2016 GMC Sierra models equipped with 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8 engines have Bosch CP4 fuel pumps that are susceptible to failure because they are not designed to handle U.S. diesel fuel.
