Truelink Capital to acquire GES from Viad Corp
chicago — GES announced that its parent company, Viad Corp, has entered into a definitive agreement with Truelink Capital, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm, through which Truelink will acquire the GES business. The deal, expected to close by the end of 2024, marks another major acquisition by private equity in the trade show and live events industry. The acquisition will include GES Exhibitions, a major global provider of exhibition and logistics services; Spiro, a global experience agency; and onPeak, SHOWTECH and Visit, which provide event accommodation, power/lighting and registration services. GES has launched a new division in Qatar to expand its ability to provide customers with localized in-region support. Organizers in the region will be able to benefit from faster, higher quality and more personalized event and exhibition services, with GES offering a range of services including its event management platform Visit.
