Adkins assumed the position on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Matthew Adkins, a Kentucky native, is an effective economic development leader who has led multiple community and economic development organizations in Kentucky over the past five years. With expertise in business recruitment and retention, workforce development, and public policy, Adkins has secured numerous grants, drafted strategic development plans, and facilitated collaborations among local, state, and federal partners. This collaborative approach plays an important role in driving sustainable growth and improving quality of life in the region.
