F1: Adrian Newey appointed Aston Martin technical management director
Aston Martin has signed legendary Formula 1 designer Adrian Newey as executive technical partner and reportedly also a shareholder. From 2025, Newey will lead the design of the team's 2026 car in accordance with Formula 1's new regulations. Newey sparked a bidding war among rival teams after leaving Red Bull Racing after the Miami Grand Prix. He had originally planned to take a break from Formula 1 to complete his RB17 hypercar project, but negotiated an early exit to join a new team in March 2025.
