Bugatti Tourbillon’s V16 sounds like a deep beast
The Tourbillon's 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine was developed by Cosworth. Three electric motors complement the V16 engine for a total of 1,775 horsepower. Bugatti says the new supercar will hit 248 mph (400 km/h) in less than 25 seconds. It’s been five months since Bugatti shook up the supercar world with its hybrid tourbillon. Now we've had our best chance to hear it in action, and as we had hoped, the massive V16 sounds more musical than the W16 it replaces. var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:()}; adpushup.que.push(function() { if (adpushup.config.platform !== "DESKTOP") { adpushup.triggerAd("4d84e4c9 -9937-4f84-82c0-c94544ee6f2a"); } else{ adpushup.triggerAd("6a782b01-facb-45f3-a88f-ddf1b1f97657"); Since deliveries of tourbillon watches to customers will not begin until 2026, Bugatti will continue to test and develop its latest creation. It was recently photographed up close at Rimac's massive factory in Zagreb, Croatia, and while driving engineers didn't push the prototype anywhere near its limits, the V16's sound can be heard loud and clear. The all-new chassis allows Bugatti to efficiently encapsulate the Tourbillon’s complex hybrid system. The hybrid system combines a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 engine with three electric motors. When Mate Rimac took over Bugatti and had to come up with a suitable successor to the iconic Veyron and Chiron, he wanted to create a car that not only looked great, but where all the body panels looked like a work of art things were taken away. After gawking at the Tourbillon's exposed carbon fiber chassis, you'll probably agree that's exactly what we've achieved. In the latest episode of Bugatti's ongoing series that takes a deep dive into the new hybrid supercar, the brand's chief technical officer Emilio Scervo and chief vehicle engineer…
