WEC: Jota to leave Porsche for Cadillac in 2025
UK-based Hertz JOTA Racing makes its debut in the Hypercar class as a privateer team in 2023. The team currently fields two Porsche 963s in the WEC. Cadillac Racing will partner with Hertz JOTA Racing to compete in the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship to form Cadillac Hertz JOTA Racing. The alliance will field two cars in the Hypercar class. Hertz JOTA Racing has rapidly risen in endurance racing and has performed well since joining the Hypercar class in 2023. Their outstanding performance in that year's famous 24 Hours of Le Mans and subsequent class victory in the 2024 Spa 6 Hours highlighted their competitive advantage and ability. By joining forces, Cadillac and Hertz JOTA Racing combine American automotive expertise with British racing expertise. The newly formed team is expected to be a strong contender in the highly competitive 2025 WEC season and aims to continue the British team's impressive rise in endurance racing.
