BMW X3 LWB China
First BMW X3 LWB unveiled in China; launched in India

BMW has launched the long wheelbase (LWB) version of the X3 in China, the first time the SUV has been offered in this configuration. The X3 LWB will be produced and sold exclusively in China. It will be available in two different models: 25L xDrive and 30L xDrive. The models will be produced at the Shenyang plant, which is a joint venture between BMW and Brilliance Auto. The design language of the X3 LWB is the same as other BMW SUVs such as the X1 and X2. It looks similar to the global-spec X3 that was unveiled in June. The LWB model is 110 mm longer, with a wheelbase of 2,975 mm and an overall length of 4,865 mm, compared to 4,755 mm for the conventional model. The width, however, remains the same at 1,920 mm.
