The waiting period for Kia Carnival in India is up to 6 months

The waiting period for the new Kia Carnival is up to six months from the date of booking. The fourth-generation model’s ex-showroom price starts at Rs 63.90 lakh, which is Rs 30 lakh more expensive than the previous generation model. The price increase reflects the high-end characteristics of the car, which is a fully imported model. Despite the higher cost, more than 400 Carnival vehicles were delivered in just two months after its launch, showing strong demand.

The MPV has received over 3,350 bookings, with buyers showing strong preference for the two available colors – Glacier White Pearl and Fusion Black. However, those looking to buy soon should be aware of the upcoming price increase. Kia has confirmed that prices across the entire range, including the Carnival, will rise by 2% from January 2025 due to rising commodity costs and supply chain disruptions.

Kia Carnival: Key highlights

The facelifted Kia Carnival MPV is powered by the same 2.2-liter four-cylinder CRDi turbodiesel engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain delivers a maximum power of 190bhp and a peak torque of 441Nm. However, the fuel efficiency of the updated model has increased to 14.85 km/l, which is 0.95 km/l higher than the previous version.

The Fiesta is only available in one fully loaded configuration (Limousine Plus), with seven seats. Its dimensions are 5,155 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, 1,775 mm high (including roof rails), and has a wheelbase of 3,090 mm.

In terms of configuration, the car is equipped with 12-way electric adjustment, 4-way lumbar support and memory function, dual 12.3-inch curved screens, 11-inch head-up display, dual electric sunroof, three-zone lighting, etc. Air conditioning, 12-speaker Bose sound system. It also comes with power-operated second-row captain’s chairs with heating, ventilation and extendable leg supports.

For safety, this MPV is equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system, 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, and Level 2 ADAS with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning.
