Toyota, Suzuki and Daihatsu’s electric trucks finally

Daihatsu hejet, Toyota Pixis Van and Suzuki will have a range of about 200 kilometers (124 miles)

Toyota Motor Toyota Motors, Suzuki and Daihatsu have officially announced that the KEI Vans, which comprehensively electric version of the domestic market by the end of 2025, is two years later than the initial promise.

During the G7 Hiroshima Summit in 2023, the electric versions of Toyota Pixis Van, Suzuki and Daihatsu Hejet were first displayed in the form of prototypes, which should be released on the street these years. The latest announcement cannot explain the delay, but it does confirm that all three models are finally released this year.

These EV Kei Vans shared Daihatsu’s new global architecture (DNGA) platform, which means that they are basically the same vehicle below. Only brands and badges make them different from everyone. Visually, they are almost the same as those of gas power. In addition to the charging port on the front bumper, (predictable) lack the exhaust pipe.

Electric vehicles will be manufactured by Daihatsu, which is also an existing ice power supply version. They will be motivated by the “joint BEV system”, combining “Suzuki and Daihatsu’s professional knowledge, and can use Toyota’s electrification technology to create small cars.”

Performance details are still blurred because car manufacturers have not disclosed the output or battery capacity of the motor. However, they claimed that each accused of about 200 kilometers (124 miles) each time, 133 kilometers (83 miles) than the aging Mitsubishi Minicab Miecab Miev (83 miles), but Honda N-Van E: 245 kilometers (152 miles).
