Two new hotels are about to open The project is headed to downtown Mankato after the Mankato City Council approved it in mid-October. Both the City Center Hotel and the Landmark Center Hotel have been demolished to make way for hotels that will be built on them under the brand names Element by Westin and AC Hotel by Marriott. Construction has begun and both hotels are scheduled to open in 2026.
