  • Canadian police are searching for a woman who ran over a man and stole his Porsche Cayenne by posing as a buyer.
  • The man’s smart doorbell captured the young woman’s face, while another security camera recorded the hit-and-run.
  • A Bentley Bentayga and a BMW X5 can be seen in the background, believed to be driven by the woman’s accomplices.

Canadian authorities are hunting for a daring and unlikely car thief after a woman posing as a used car buyer ran over a Porsche Cayenne owner in broad daylight and stole his SUV in front of his home.

Peel police released video from the homeowner’s doorbell camera showing a young woman approaching the home. She was dressed appropriately and wearing glasses, looking more like a fundraiser for a local church than a criminal preparing to commit a car theft.

The woman told the Cayenne owner she was waiting for her dad and asked to see the Porsche, but in footage from a second camera we see her lock the door once she got behind the wheel, trapping the owner outside.

He walked around the car and tried multiple door handles, but when he reached the rear of the car, the woman slammed the Cayenne into reverse and nearly ran over him. Luckily, the impact knocked the man to the side of the car, because even if he hadn’t been hit, he would have been knocked into a black SUV, and the Porsche would have hit him as it reversed.

The woman appeared to have a hard time getting the Cayenne into the driveway and running away, and we didn’t see her leave the scene, but police confirmed the Porsche was stolen. They also confirmed they were looking for two other vehicles they believe were connected to the theft and that may have been seen in the background. One of them was a grey Bentley Bentayga, which was parked next to the black SUV and drove off shortly after the incident, and the other was a blue BMW SUV.

Suspect Identity Sought in Theft of Vehicle/Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm

Although the Porsche owner refused to be interviewed by a local TV news reporter, CP24 He said he suffered injuries to his elbow, hand and leg during his brush with death.

The woman’s identity is still unknown, but with clear images from the doorbell camera as evidence, it’s sure to be only a matter of days before she’s found. When police catch her, she’ll have more than just theft charges to worry about. Police also want to charge her with dangerous conduct causing bodily harm.
