- This fourth-generation Mustang limited edition is equipped with a 5.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine.
- Even though the car is old, it only shows 10,000 miles on the odometer.
The Ford Mustang has been in production for 60 years, and during that time, dozens of crazy limited editions have been released. One of our favorites is the Mustang SVT Cobra R, and one of these beautiful examples is currently up for auction in the UK.
Like all other SVT Cobra R models for the 2000 model year, this one is finished in Performance Red and features a number of eye-catching aerodynamic parts that set it apart from other Mustangs of the period. The most notable of these new parts is the fixed rear wing, which looks like it was lifted straight from the set of an early Fast & Furious movie.

Ford also gave the SVT Cobra R a bold new front lip, brake cooling ducts, and extended side skirts. It even has quad exhaust pipes, just like the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen. Those exhaust pipes add at least 80 more horsepower just for the cooling factor alone.
But the Cobra R’s charm lies beneath the surface. Unlike the regular SN95 Mustang, the Cobra R is equipped with an independent rear suspension with Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs and a new stabilizer bar.

The production certification shows that this is the 252nd of the 300 SVT Cobra Rs ever built. Like all the other models, it has a 5.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine with aluminum pistons that produces 385 horsepower and 385 pound-feet (522 Newton-meters) of torque. Paired with this V8 engine is a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Despite the age of this car, it has only traveled about 10,000 miles (about 16,000 kilometers), and the seller has only added about 400 miles (about 644 kilometers) since purchasing it in 2017.
The car comes with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts and a car cover. If you are interested in adding this to your collection, head over to Bring a Trailer.
