181 – Pro Tip 5 – Use Free Marketing Tools to Increase Traffic

If you want to maximize traffic to your trade show booth, then you have to take advantage of all the free marketing tools available to you! Some you know about, and some you need to seek out. But whether you’re on a strict budget or not, don’t miss out on the freebies!

  • Before the showtelling you that you will be exhibiting, what booth you will be in, and what you will be showing. This is something I have never seen before… a post targeted at people who are not going to the show! Have these people contact you and still get a demo or show special!
  • During the performance – Use geofencing to reach people on the exhibit hall! Promote show specials, giveaways, demos, and anything else that will draw people to your booth. Don’t forget to use photos of your actual booth.
  • After the show – Take pictures of your booth again. And take selfies with clients and prospects and share them – and tag them. Extend the show for those who can’t make it. Tag the show or association – they might retweet it!

Contact the show organizers to find out what free tools are available to you!

  • Many shows have an exhibit hall map where you can enter your company information – but many businesses skip this step! I always check this map to learn more about the exhibitors, and if there’s nothing there, I’ll probably just walk past your booth.
  • Additionally, you can take advantage of email blasts, banner ads, and more.
