Featured Car Hunter Networkan online auction platform operated by ClassicCars.com, is this 1977 Ford F-150 Ranger 4WD. It underwent a full restoration circa 2018. Power comes from a rebuilt original 400ci V8, paired to a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission. Finished in dark gray with a gray cloth interior, this upgraded F-150 is now being offered by the selling dealer with a deluxe Marti report and clear title.
Originally Jet Black, the car has been repainted in Dark Gray. It features black bumpers and trim, modified headlights, tinted windows, black tubular running boards, and a painted cargo bed liner.
The original wheels and tires have been replaced with a set of 17-inch Fuel wheels with manual locking front hubs and 33-inch x 12.50-inch General Grabber off-road tires.
Inside, the original red vinyl on the bench seat has been replaced with gray cloth, and the back is dark gray vinyl. Features include manual windows, power steering, column-mounted automatic shifter, rebuilt air conditioning system, AM/FM stereo, floor-mounted transfer case shifter, and gun racks. According to the selling dealer, new insulation has been installed in the car, and the air conditioning has been converted to use R-134a refrigerant.
Vehicle information is displayed on the 85 mph speedometer, steering column mounted tachometer, and gauges for the alternator, temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The odometer shows 95,809 miles, but the true mileage of this truck is unknown.
Under the hood is a 400ci V8 engine that is said to be original, rebuilt, resealed, and had a .010 bore increase in 2018. It is equipped with an RV camshaft, Edelbrock carburetors, American Autowire wiring harness, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, as well as electronic fuel injection and power windows. The engine is connected to a rebuilt and resealed C4 three-speed automatic transmission and a two-range transfer case.
This truck’s chassis consists of a powder-coated frame, dual Rough Country steering stabilizers, a four-inch radius-arm lift kit, and 4.11:1 gears. Power drum brakes bring it to a stop. The engine exhausts through a Flowmaster dual exhaust system.
