2006 Ford GT delivery mileage is a time capsule

Every now and then, a car comes up for sale at auction that’s so amazing that all you can do is stare at it, revel in its splendor, and wish you had six or seven figures in your bank account waiting to be used. This is one of those times.

Few American performance cars get our hearts racing like the original Ford GT, and while they’re not rare on the used market, it’s rare that you find one as lightly driven as this one. SBX Cars is selling this 2006 model, which has logged just 14.9 miles (23.9 km) in the past 18 years. Yes, this is a delivery-mileage GT, and it could be yours.

The mid-engine supercar is finished in Tungsten Gray, one of the car’s most recognizable colors. This car, number 222 of 277 produced for the Canadian market, is equipped with BBS 10-spoke forged aluminum wheels with red brake calipers and cross-drilled brake discs. The original owner also ordered a silver stripe package.

It’s unclear why the first owner didn’t drive the car, but we do know it was sold to its second and current owner in 2018 and has been stored in climate-controlled storage since then. It will change hands again, complete with seat covers, stickers, tags, and a spare key.

The auction house is also selling a second-generation 2018 GT that has only traveled 10 kilometers (6 miles) since new. This car is slightly more eye-catching thanks to its Frozen White paint and Sonic Blue Pearl Metallic stripes.
