2024 Aston Martin Vantage launched in India, deliveries to start in Q4 2024

The 2024 Aston Martin Vantage has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 3.99 crore (ex-showroom). The new Vantage gets a host of updates both under the hood and on the interior. Deliveries of the new model will commence in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Power and Performance

The new Vantage is powered by Mercedes-AMG’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. The engine has been tuned to produce 665bhp and 800Nm of torque, a significant increase on the 510bhp and 685Nm of the previous model. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. This results in impressive performance figures, with the new Vantage capable of 0-100km/h in just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 325km/h. This makes the V8 Vantage as quick as the outgoing V12 model.

Design

Aston Martin has significantly revised the exterior design of the new Vantage to give it a more aggressive and dynamic appearance. The front features a large grille that stretches almost the entire width of the bumper, flanked by new air intakes. The bonnet has been redesigned with a more pronounced character line, creating a visual resemblance to the One-77 supercar.

The car’s side profile shows subtle changes to the air ducts on the fenders, while the rear showcases a bolder bumper and diffuser setup. The new Vantage is also 30mm wider than its predecessor, enhancing its overall stance. Other updates include new frameless door mirrors and flush electronic door handles.

Interior and Technology

Inside, the new Vantage has been completely redesigned, with a design inspired by Aston Martin’s DB12. The cabin features a new cockpit design that focuses on connectivity and refinement. The most notable change is the removal of the Mercedes-sourced elements from the previous generation model, replaced by an in-house developed infotainment platform.

The centerpiece of the new interior is a 10.25-inch touchscreen that runs custom software and offers features such as 3D live mapping and wireless smartphone mirroring. Despite the move to digital, Aston Martin has retained physical controls for key functions such as climate control, gear selection and drive mode adjustment to cater to drivers who prefer tactile feedback.

The new Vantage also features a new steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, and significant improvements in overall interior quality, fit and finish.
