Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2024 Destini 125 for India. This comes nearly six years after the company launched its most expensive scooter, the Destini 125, in 2018. While Hero has not yet revealed the pricing of the new model, we know that the upgraded Hero Destini 125 will be available in three variants – VX, ZX and ZX+ – and seven colour options. The 2024 Hero Destini 125 gets an all-new design, larger wheels, a wider rear tyre, and a larger wheelbase. The powertrain remains largely the same as before.
Firstly, the updated Destini 125 gets a new design language. It features a projector LED headlamp, H-shaped LED daytime running lights, repositioned turn indicators, a metal front fender and LED taillights. The scooter now rides on larger 12-inch machined alloy wheels (ZX+ only) with a wider 100/80-12 tyre at the rear. This has resulted in a 57mm increase in the wheelbase to 1,302mm. The new model has a ground clearance of 785mm (the longest in its class), while the fuel tank capacity and under-seat storage space are 5 litres and 19 litres respectively.

The new design is complemented by an analog instrument cluster with a small LCD insert, which comes with the base variant only. The ZX and ZX+ get a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and Hero’s i3s start/stop technology, along with an auto-cancelling indicator (segment priority), a backlit start button and rear seat backrests. The 2024 Destini 125 comes standard with a trunk lamp, a side stand engine cut-off, an external fuel filler, CBS and a Type-A USB charging port.
2024 Hero Destini 125: Powertrain, Hardware
The new Destini 125 is powered by the same 124.6cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that puts out 9bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. However, the chassis has undergone some changes. According to Hero, the new Destini 125 has a fuel efficiency of 59km/l (ICAT). For suspension, the scooter continues to use telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. As for braking, the base model gets drum brakes at both ends, while the other two get a disc-drum combination.
