Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V in India at a price of Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom). With the new price tag, the 2024 model is Rs 10,000 cheaper than the outgoing model. For starters, the motorcycle maker also updated the Xtreme 160R 4V in July this year. The updated Xtreme 160R 2V gets subtle revisions to enhance the style and comfort. One of the key design upgrades is the striking H-shaped LED taillight that offers a modern look to complement the sporty profile of the motorcycle. The Xtreme 160R 2V is available in only one black finish variant. Also, since the motorcycle gets a rear drum brake, it comes with only a single-channel ABS. 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: Design and features
The styling elements and features of the 2024 motorcycle remain the same as the outgoing model; however, the manufacturer believes that the addition of a flatter one-piece seat and an updated H-shaped taillight will improve the overall pillion comfort. The seat height is also much lower than before. Apart from this, Hero MotoCorp has also brought the drag racing timer from the 160R 4V to this model.
The latest generation Xtreme 160R 2V is painted in a single stealth black colour. Red highlights on the wheel rims, bottom sump guard and headlamp bezel complement the all-black colour scheme. In terms of features, the motorcycle boasts amenities like a fully digital instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging socket and LED headlight with position lights.
2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: Engine Specifications
Mechanically, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is powered by a 163.2cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces a maximum power of 14.79bhp and a peak torque of 14Nm. The powerplant is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Hero’s proprietary XSens technology is integrated in the engine to provide a start/stop feature.

2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: Hardware Components and Market Competitors
The motorcycle’s suspension configuration includes a 7-level preload adjustable rear monoshock and a 37 mm telescopic front fork. Braking is taken care of by a 276 mm disc brake up front and a drum brake at the rear with the help of a single-channel ABS. This naked streetfighter is fitted with a 100/80-R17 front tyre and a 130/70-R17 rear tyre. It has a 12-litre fuel tank and weighs 139.5 kg (kerb weight).
The Hero Xtreme 160R 2V is priced at Rs 1.11 lakh, which is Rs 28,000 cheaper than the 4V (Rs 1.39 lakh). It competes closely with the Yamaha FZ series (Rs 1.17 lakh to Rs 1.30 lakh) and the Bajaj Pulsar N150 (Rs 1.25 lakh). All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.
