The updated version of Hyundai’s popular 7-seater SUV is attractively priced starting at Rs 14.99 lakh for the petrol model and Rs 15.99 lakh for the diesel model. A direct competitor to the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700 and other major players in the segment, this facelifted Alcazar is expected to revive its sales performance.
2024 Hyundai Alcazar: All-new design update
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar stands out with its bold new design and is more than just a stretched version of the Creta. The SUV showcases a powerful front design with H-shaped connected LED DRLs, a wide radiator grille, and prominent scuff plates.
On the sides, the Alcazar now features striking 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, larger rear quarter windows and black paint cladding. The rear of the SUV has been significantly reworked with a new spoiler, redesigned bumper and upgraded skid plate, as well as connected LED taillights with sequential turn indicators.
Size and sizing enhancements
In terms of dimensions, the 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is 4,560 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,710 mm tall. Compared to the previous model, it is 60 mm longer, 10 mm wider, and 35 mm taller, while the wheelbase remains the same at 2,760 mm. These improvements make the vehicle appear more spacious and imposing on the road.
Interior and features: luxurious and high-tech
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar’s cabin has been upgraded with a new dashboard layout inspired by the facelifted Creta. It gets new interior trim options like Noble Brown and Mist Navy Blue, adding a touch of luxury. The 6-seater model now includes ventilated second-row seats with folding armrests, improving accessibility to the third-row seats. The interior also highlights unique thigh extenders for added comfort.
The Alcazar’s features list is comprehensive and includes a power step-in, wing-shaped headrests, driver seat memory function, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, digital key with NFC, and over 70 connected car features. It also has over 270 voice commands, a 10.25-inch infotainment display, auto-dimming IRVM, 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.
Performance and engine options
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar offers two engine options: a 1.5L diesel engine and a 1.5L turbo-petrol engine. The diesel engine has an output of 115 hp and a torque of 250 Nm, and can be equipped with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The turbo-petrol engine has an output of 160 hp and a torque of 253 Nm, and can be equipped with a 7-speed DCT or a 6-speed manual transmission.
The SUV comes with three driving modes (Normal, Eco and Sport) and three traction modes (Snow, Mud and Sand), as well as paddle shifters and an idle start-stop system, enhancing its driving versatility.
Color Choices: Bold Palettes
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is available in nine vibrant colors, including eight monochromatic options such as powerful Emerald Matte, Titan Grey Matte, and Fiery Red. There are also two-tone options of Atlas White and Black Roof, allowing buyers to choose according to their style preferences.
